SEBEV trains its members for Major Incident Bronze Command

Most ALSAR teams have a role to play during major incidents in their locality. SEBEV itself grew out of what used to be proudly called “civil defence”; volunteers available to the authorities in time of need.

These civil contingency roles require additional training and a SEBEV news item recently tells of how they are training their members;

… Thames Valley Police Major Incident Bronze training course last week. The course was a result of SEBEV Search & Rescue’s continued liaison and development with the Thames Valley Local Resilience Forum.
The event was aimed at management/supervisory personnel that might find themselves acting as a Bronze commander during a major incident.  [Read more here...]
